About

Greetings, fellow adventure addict! I’m John, the explorer and storyteller behind Live Travel City. If you can’t already tell by my collection of travel photos spanning desert dunes to mountain peaks, I’m a bit obsessed with uncovering our world’s hidden gems and unique cultures.

You see, I was bitten by the travel bug at a young age when I took my first international trip to Costa Rica. Since then, I just can’t sit still! With an incurable case of wanderlust, I’ve spent the last decade journeying to places as diverse as the bustling medinas of Fez to the tranquil hot spring villages of Japan. No destination or terrain seems too remote for this intrepid soul.

Through all my travels and escapades across 6 continents and many countries, I’ve honed the art of responsible, off-the-beaten path travel. My philosophy is to fully dive into each new destination – whether that’s sharing a meal with Maasai warriors in Kenya, learning to cook pad thai from a chef in Bangkok, or practicing yoga with holy men in India. I seek out experiences that provide a window into local life.

That’s why I created Live Travel City – to share captivating stories that transport you to amazing places, introduce you to fascinating people, and inspire you to embark on your own remarkable adventures. My vivid writing blended with insider tips aims to ignite the imagination and wanderlust of travelers just like you.

Because I believe deeply that travel has the power to bridge cultures and make the world a little bit smaller and more open-minded. When we journey responsibly, new perspectives widen. Sustainable tourism supported. And locals economically empowered.

So come join me on virtual expeditions to breathtaking landscapes across the globe – from the wilds of the Serengeti to the slopes of the Andes. Let my hard-won expertise both inspire your sense of adventure and guide you toward transformative travel experiences that positively impact communities abroad.

There are so many vivid cultures, natural wonders, and intrepid destinations left to explore. And I want to take you along for the ride! Are you with me, my friend? Then let’s chart an ethical course across this awe-inspiring planet of ours.

Your fellow travel fanatic, John
